With a focus on underrepresentation and gender disparity, Designfully provides a fresh perspective on the design industry. We showcase and celebrate underrepresented creatives currently working in the industry and inspire emerging creatives. We want to see a more fully inclusive space for all creatives to thrive and feel seen.
BACKGROUND & CONTEXT
Designfully is a response to the successful blog and social channel Design by Women. With a print magazine, a blog and an online presence, Designfully will 'broaden the remit' of Design by Women to celebrate and support a range of underrepresented creatives, expanding beyond the gender binary. Acknowledging that gender is a spectrum and Feminism should be intersectional.
STATEMENT OF INTENTION
Celebrate and showcase the work of women, gender expansive and underrepresented creatives who don't usually get seen.
Share different perpectives and opinions that challenge conventional thinking and binary structures.
Highlight unseen work or creatives that are often overlooked in mainstream design media.
Give a platform to outstanding, thought-provoking and/or challenging creative work.
Create a space that champions for a more diverse and "fully" inclusive design industry.
Be bold.
